Scott Scozzola, PGA
Director of Golf

Scott Scozzola is the Director of Golf of the DeBell Golf Club and has been a PGA Member since 2000 and golf professional since 1997. In addition, Scott is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at New Mexico State University. As a player, Scott has participated in various Mini Tour Events throughout Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, and continues to participate in local PGA section events. Scott’s teaching philosophy is based on the laws and principles of the golf swing and applying those laws and principles to each individual student.

Joaquin Herbozo, PGA
Head Golf Professional

Joaquin Herbozo is a PGA Member with over 10 years experience in the golf industry. During his stint with DeBell GC he has been involved in many projects and continues to oversee the facilities day to day operations. His vast clientele includes collegiate athletes, corporate executives, the entertainment industry and aspiring golfers of all skill levels. His passion for the game started at a young age and he has turned that passion into a career. Joaquin is a graduate of the Golf Academy of America receiving an A.A.B. in Business and Golf Operation. During his college years he has played in numerous Amateur tournaments and now continues to master his skill in professional events. His unique ability to adapt to golfers swings and create a mutual understanding of the fundamentals of the swing is a quality unmatched in our industry. He has a true love for the game of golf and that trait is shown through the students he teaches and the people he surrounds himself with.

Zachary Allen, PGA
Director of Instruction

Zach Allen is a PGA Certified golf instructor that gives golf lessons in Burbank. Since 1997, he has taught aspiring golfers of all levels and age; from 4 year old beginners to professionals with over 20 years experience. His students have included nationally ranked juniors, touring pros, celebrities, and CEO’s. An Marie Ekfeldt, LPGA
Teaching Professional

An Marie is a Class A member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals and has been working in the golf industry since 2000. She has worked as program administrator for collegiate golf administering and marketing golf tournaments as well as teaching and coaching. She began her golf career in 1993 at Arlandastad Golf Club in Stockholm, Sweden and has played in numerous tournaments throughout Europe and the United States. Matthew Johnson
Matthew Johnson, PGA Apprentice
1st Assistant Professional/Tournament Director

Matthew Johnson’s passion for golf began at an early age. He teaches all children, adults and seniors with the same passion and enthusiasm. Matthew’s knowledge of golf as both a player and a teacher, coupled with his enthusiasm for juniors makes him a great teacher for golfers of all ages and abilities. Matthew is a graduate of the Golf Academy of America in Carlsbad, California and has been teaching professionally for the last 3 years. He is highly trained to teach all levels of the golf swing by utilizing effective training drills that players can perform in practice to help them build better golf fundamentals. Playing golf for the past 14 years, Matthew has played in numerous Amateur and Professional tournaments. He is currently enrolled in the PGA’s Professional Golf Management Program (PGM) and is working toward his PGA membership.

David Gallegos, PGA Apprentice

David Gallegos is a graduate of the Golf Academy of America with an A.A.B. in Business and Golf Operations. David has played golf for over 16 years and was captain of the Cerritos Community college Golf Team. He has played in many amateur tournaments and continues to play in many professional events. David has been teaching professionally for the past 8 years. His philosophy for golf is to help students achieve and improve their swing dynamics, while at the same time gaining an understanding of how the golf club should perform. David believes that each student has their ideal swing based on their natural tendencies, physical strength and limitations. If the student can understand the dynamics of their golf swing and golf club then they will have a greater success rate at a quicker pace. David enjoys teaching golfers of all ages and abilities.
